History
Allstat was founded by Keith Brebner and John Threadgold in 1988
as a small wholesale stationery business. As the business expanded,
it relocated to larger premises to facilitate managing broader lines
of supply. Initially based in Scoresby, the business moved to Bayswater
and then to Vermont in Melbourne’s East. Allstat is now one
of Victoria’s largest wholesale stationery product suppliers.
In 2004, Allstat was acquired by David Dick and
the business moved into its next phase of expansion. With customer
service being a top priority, the challenge was to find ways to
increase levels of service and professionalism. The solution has
been to develop a personalised account management system which helps
monitor customers’ needs more effectively and measure Allstat’s
level of competitiveness in service, price, quality and range of
products available. The new online ordering interface is the next
step towards incorporating a customer-focused business strategy
which aims to streamline the management and efficiency of Allstat’s
supply line logistics.
In January 2006, Allstat relocated to larger premises
in Knoxfield to help manage the greater demand for our range of
over 20,000 products. The new location and ordering systems represent
our next phase of development as we continue to strive to be the
best in our business.
